| So life is going great! I have got the great job, a new car, an amazing apartment and I just found out that I am getting a little Maltese puppy in 3 weeks. Her name is going to be Paisly Elizabeth. I have been looking into adopting a puppy so that I am not completly alone in Baton Rouge, but to adopt one it is like adopting a child, the adoption people wanted to come and look at my house, I was like heck no... I am adopting a dog not a child. So anyways, i have been talking about just sucking it up and spending $600 on the dog that I would love to have. So my mom told me about these 10 savings bonds that I have had since I was a baby and they will give me more than enough to get started with my little baby. My mom and I are going to put a deposit on her this week...she is 3 weeks old, just opened her little eyes, if you want to see a pic of her and her sister go check out my facebook. I am getting really nervous/scared about my new job. It is crazy... so much to do for my own classroom and this parish has some interesting ways of doing things, which is making it hard, but I am hoping that I can do it. It is just stressing me out moving to a new place, starting a new life, becoming an adult in the real world... starting an important job...... I am ready for the first week to be over so that I can get into a groove. This weekend is going to be so much fun. Alicia, Casey, Marie, Torey, Elden and some other people are all going to Blue Bayou which is going to be so much fun. Then next week I have to go spend the week with my dad in Morgan City.... sigh... not on my list of things to do. Although I am getting my grandmothers washing maching and dryer out of the deal so I dont have to buy one. Other than that, not too much going on.... i am living out of boxes and bags which sucks, and I have teacher and apartment stuff everywhere in my room, you can hardly walk in there. Mom and Brian are going to empty my shed out tomorrow in Ruston so that I can go through it and throw what I dont need and get organized. I move into my classroom in the next week or two. So everything is happening so fast. I dont even feel that I have had a summer. I have been so busy with helping with my grandmother, around the house, getting class stuff ready, apartment stuff, etc... I am ready for it to slow down. Anyways, I hope that everyone is having a great summer. I miss seeing some people a whole lot. Especially the ones who you could talk to about anything... everyone is just so busy these days. I hope everyone is doing well!!! Toodles~ | | |

| So I have not updated xanga since before graduation. So much has been going on! First off I got a new car which is awesome! If you want to see pics check out my facebook. Second of all I got a fantastic job!!!! I am going to be the third grade teacher at North Live Oak Elementary in Watson, LA. It is a little town north of Denham Springs. It is a wonderful opportunity for me. Livings parish does not usually higher new teachers, so they really liked me. The staff is wonderful and experienced, so I am going to learn so much from them. I cant wait to start teaching!!! I also got an apartment in the Baton Rouge area click below to check it out! http://www.apartments.com/summary.aspx?property=186622.17&srank=2&subarea1=y&area1=y&state=la&rgn1=130&rent_minimum=0&rent_maximum=99999&page=summary&prvpg=7&srt1=0.50&srt2=0.48&srt3=0.80 So my life is finally going in the right direction! My brothers girlfriends mother brought over boxes and boxes of teaching stuff. She used to be an elementary teacher and now is a counselor, and she raided her office as well as other teachers rooms, and gave me a great start! So now I get to start planning my classroom and year! I hope everyone is doing well!! I miss you all! | | |

| My life has been so crazy and busy these past two weeks. I have finally completed my portfolio and submitted it, it is the greatest feeling in the whole world! It feels like a ton of bricks has been lifted off my back. Now I am playing catch up for my student teaching lessons. I am loving student teaching, it is so much fun. My kids are pretty bad for the most part, but I am loving being in front of them teaching and sharing things with them, such as Rico the tree frog. I cant wait until the fall when I get my very own classroom, it is going to be so much fun. Today I have the teacher job fair in Toliver for most of the day. I am super excited because my whole life could change today. I really hope that something good comes out of today. My teacher gave me a hell of a recommendation letter and she told me that she has all the faith in the world that I am going to be a great teacher, so we shall see what happens. This weekend Melissa and I are gong to my home in Lafayette for my birthday. We are getting up early Saturday morning and going to the coast to go crabbing and fishing. It will be so much fun and nice to get away from here for a few days. Well I need to finish getting ready, so have a great day and check out the really funny clip at the bottom! ~Toddles
